As part of the Device Management team you will be part of an energetic global team of developers and testers focused on developing host tools for embedded real time processes, working on several exciting projects supporting most popular embedded and host platforms.
We leverage the Eclipse platform to deliver an integrated development environment (IDE) for our cutting edge sensorpoint and patchpoint technologies.
The challenge for this development is to provide ease of configuration and use, of a highly sophisticated technology, while at the same time maintain compatibility across different types of target platforms, and Java and Eclipse environment.
Candidate will be able to architect (and re-architect in some cases), develop and unit test Java based plugins and applications that provide an easy to use platform for the embedded software development community. In this role, the candidate will closely work with development teams across the company and play a key role in delivering an integrated solution to the market.The research and development areas include:
ยท Eclipse plugins that deliver easy-to-use IDE for the embedded software developers. - Eclipse plugins that provide communications capability with devices on the network or attached locally. - Command line interfaces for integration with various technologies. - Design and development of cool UI. |
| Job Description: |
The candidate should have excellent understanding of all the phases of software development life cycle. Here are the additional requirements:
6+ years of software development experience in
-Object oriented design and development -Java development, including SWT, Swing, AWT or other toolkits. -Eclipse based development, in particular, development of plugins, CDT IDE. -Junit and other Java unit testing technologies, and ANT and similar build tools.
-Understanding of compilers, parsing, linking, object file formats and headers such as Elf, Dwarf. -Understanding of network protocols such as TCP, HTTP, SOAP, and related standards like XML, WebServices. -BSc. or higher in Computer Science or a relevant engineering discipline. -Good communications and interpersonal skills. -Strong planning and organizational skills. |
